The Postman's Cottage is a luxurious and romantic abode for 2. Set on 1.5 acres with luscious garden, just a stones throw from the charming heart of Montville. We’ve catered for you to completely relax and immerse yourself in your stay. Melt into the king sized bed, bathe in our clawfoot tub, swim in the shared magnesium pool or warm up by the fire and simply enjoy the serenity. The Postman’s Cottage was designed with the intention of ‘Slow Living’. It’s so easy to get caught up in the ‘doings’ of life, but we hope here you are able to just ‘be’.

This historic property served as the first Receiving Office for mail from the UK and abroad. In tribute to its heritage, the cottage was named The Postman's Cottage. Recently restored, this delightful cottage features breathtaking country views, beautiful gardens, and a shared pool area, offering a peaceful retreat for your escape.

The Postman's Cottage is a fully self-contained space with luxury amenities, including a king-sized bed, clawfoot bathtub, kitchen, lounge area, and wood fireplace. The cottage is perfect for a romantic getaway for two, or you can reserve the entire Montville Estate, including the main home, Eastnor House which sleeps 8 guests.

Intentionally there is no TV to promote connection and relaxation, whether you’re away with a special someone or enjoying your own time in the Hinterland. Unwind with a book, play a game, light the fire, or take a stroll around the grounds, which feature a shared magnesium pool.
Montville Estate
Montville Estate features two dwellings available for booking: Eastnor House, which accommodates up to 8 guests, and The Postman's Cottage, perfect for 2 guests. Booking the entire estate provides exclusive access to both residences, along with the gardens and magnesium pool. Guests booking the cottage will have shared use of the grounds, magnesium pool, and one carport space.
